2. While holding on the water, maintain a high elbow position and accelerates your arm through the water, pointing your finger towards the bottom of the pool.

4. Push backwards with your hands as you move into the back of the stroke, accelerating your arm up and out of the water into the recovery phase.
5. Flex your arms over the water surface keeping them straight and close to the water line until they re-enter the pool at the front of the stroke.
